Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
Bryn (Eli Cross) is putting together his mainstream movie that we will be shooting in the spring - more details on that to come when the time is right - and we have to make a trip out to Alabama and surrounding areas to scout locations for this film. We will only be gone for a couple days leaving this Thursday (1st) and returning the following Tuesday (5th).
In the mean time we will be missing our KSEX show this Thursday night. But YOU won't be missing a thing! I have arranged Taryn Thomas to fill in as guest-host for the evening! What a week
What a week. Monday and Tuesday were my Platinum X shoots, wrapping up Butt Bitches and starting Ass Wreckage 4; Wednesday and Thursday I was the set photographer and the BTS (that’s behind-the-scenes for those of you who are newbies) for Adam & Eve's Snatch and Friday I was supposed to go to New York to participate in the lingerie night celebrations at my friend’s nightclub. Unfortunately I ended up with the flu and have been sick, sick, sick.
So here I sit now, home, feeling yucky as hell with a house full of people shooting a movie in my home. And there is no end in sight either – the loft (aka The Fallout Shelter) has been renting like mad lately. In addition to me shooting here Tuesday and Bryn/Eli on Wednesday; Andre Madness (for Hustler) was here Thursday/Friday; Saturday with director Jim Malibu again for Hustler; the next 3 days is a gay shoot and the 23rd Dianna DeVoe is here. We are going to be thrilled that Thanksgiving is here so we can stretch out and have our home back! It’s hard having people in your home and stuff and space like that (even if it is 10,000 square feet of renovated warehouse) but by the end of this stretch the $$ payoff will be good. Where do we go? Bryn’s office is the only space with doors, (everything else is open space) and it’s a pretty big office although not so much when you have both of us, 6 cats and a dog. Since they are shooting we have to be quiet, so we mostly work on the computer and have to wear headphones. The bummer of all this is that when you are sick, you want to be utterly alone, to die quietly, sleep in your own bed and watch movies in your own living room under your favorite blankie…

Shoots at the loft
Some of you may have noticed a lot of activity on the cams and you can expect it to continue for the next week. I shot the final 2 scenes of Butt Bitches here yesterday and Eli Cross' Adam & Eve shoot was here today.
There are shoots here through the 23rd. Most people either don't notice the cams or don't care, occasionally some ask us to turn them off, but rarely. Either way, there should be some action on the cams into the weekend and beyond so enjoy!

Dark Angels 2; pre-premiere
It’s been a busy week and is only going to continue to be insane! Tomorrow takes me into two days of Adam & Eve shoots directed by Eli Cross, starring the tiny Austyn Moore. I am going to be the still photogrpher and the behind-the-scenes camera... Friday I am off to New York for a club event (details later).
Saturday evening I had the Dark Angels 2 premiere party. Went with my longtime friend Nic Andrews, aka the director of DA2. Was a huge party, free booze flowing until 3 am…not that it mattered to me since I no longer drink but it loosened up all the porn chickies even more which made for great entertainment! Fun was had by all.

Snatch cancelled
So yesterday was supposed to be the first of a 3 day shoot titled “Snatch” for Adam & Eve. Starring Austyn Moore, directed by Eli Cross. What happened? Well it’s more of a case of what didn’t happen, really.
Thing That Didn’t Happen #1: Sativa Rose’s test didn’t make it back from AIM Heathcare on time. Not Sativa’s fault but this makes it difficult to shoot a sex scene when one of the performers has no new test. Tests are REQUIRED, monthly, no exceptions. Options: Rebook a different girl at the last minute that must be okayed through Austyn and Adam & Eve, or…
Thing That Didn’t Happen #2: The male lead, Trent T., doesn’t show up. Being that this is a feature and the male lead is needed all three days…well, this is a problem, as you can see. His agent couldn’t contact him either. Yeah, just try replacing a male lead (one who has to be able to act, BTW) at the last minute. Nope, not a chance.
A further dilemma related to the Thing That Didn’t Happen #2: We booked Trent T. as the lead through one of the agents, upon booking we asked them repeatedly to make sure this was not Trent Tesoro, because having shot him before, we have a strict non-Trent Tesoro policy. So not only does “Trent T.” not show up for his 10 am call time but when he does come waltzing in at 11:30 we discover it is EXACTLY the guy we were assured we WEREN’T getting. Fortunately for us we wouldn’t have to use Trent in the lead anymore.
Thing That Didn’t Happen #3: The shoot. Cancelled and re-booked. It’s now the 16, 17 and 18th.
Every now and the directors get a shoot like this where you just throw up your hands and cancel it. Sure you can try to force it to go through but that usually means more problems and results in not as good of an end result. Prior to yesterday we had been having location trouble and a few other things that were beginning to point to this being “one of those shoots”.
So you know what we did, now that we had the afternoon off? We went to Disneyland.
Next week is going to be completely insane now. I am directing for Platinum X on the 14th and 15th, Eli’s Adam & Eve movie is the 16-18. And I leave to go to New York for a club promotion on the 18th. (More details to come on the NY event.)
BTW - now Eli and I will be LIVE on KSEX this Thursday - see you there!
