HOLLYWOOD — Crimson-haired adult icon Kylie Ireland will be chatting up the industry's finest on the red carpet at tonight's 25th anniversary X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Awards extravaganza, taking place at The Highlands nightclub in Hollywood central beginning at 7 p.m.
Up for MILF of the Year at the ceremony, the AVN and XRCO Hall of Famer will be turning the spotlight on some of her fellow veterans, as well as the hordes of newbies expected to attend, with interview clips to appear on the organization's website, XRCO.com.
"This is a perfect job for me," Ireland said. "After 15 years in the industry, you know I have a lot of questions for a lot of people!"
Many of those questions may very well surround just-departed adult legend Marilyn Chambers, to whom tonight's ceremony is being dedicated. But Ireland is sure to keep the mood celebratory and plenty fun.
"Finally, I'll be able to ask everyone else hard-hitting questions like, ‘How did you get into porn?' and ‘Do your parents know what you do?'" Kylie joked. "But seriously, be prepared. The people demand answers!"
Ireland claims she was forced to agree not to harass her MILF of the Year competitors as they arrive. "My instinct was to go all Tonya Harding on a couple of them," she said, "but they said if I break the microphone I have to pay for it. Ladies, your knees are safe!"
Ireland will also be presenting an award during the show. Her red carpet interviews will be available on XRCO.com.
The XRCO Awards is an industry-only affair recognizing excellence in adult moviemaking, as voted upon by professional critics from an array of adult publications and websites. Look for the XRCO winners list on AVN.com immediately following the event.
