04/02/2009: "Kylie Begins Directing Porn 'Feature'"

I began directing a project last Saturday, the 28th of March, which is to be the first feature porn movie I have ever directed. Sure, I have directed about 50 gonzo movies, some vignette pieces and many internet scenes but never an actual movie, with a story from beginning to end. This project is for a brand new company called Night Moods Productions. The movie is called The Porn Principal and is a different look at the draw of doing porn and the reasons and decisions a girl goes through when considering porn as a career option.

What was shot Saturday are the “scenes of a movie within the movie”. Basically a couple is watching a porn movie and these 2 scenes are that movie; therefore I wanted to have them have a different and more polished, glossier look than the scenes in the rest of the movie. In short I got really overzealous and did all the production design on them pretty much by myself. This included building two sets here at my loft; a wedding chapel – it was beautiful and heavenly and positively glowed – and a voodoo scene, achieved by hanging 5 20x black duvateen to have anything beyond the actual set pieces (lots of voodoo and mystical looking stuff) drop off into nothingness.

The wedding scene; titled 'Bonds of Holy Matrimony', was my scene. I occasionally like to put myself into my own scenes because then I get to be the dirty girl I want to be, and this was no exception. It’s a little bit as if Tim Burton were to direct a porn scene. I bought a wedding dress and had it altered to be a straightjacket as well as making it appear as though it had been torn and stitched back together, giving it a creepy look. My regret was that I didn’t have the time to dye it purple, which would have been a really nice touch. The scene opens with me bound before the altar, arms outstretched and wrapped in vines of black roses. The groom (Steve Holmes) and the priest (Marco Banderas) enter, bind me straightjacket style, wrapping my arms around me and tying it in the back. After a brief surreal ceremony, the vows are sealed with a rough blowjob in front of the altar while still bound. With the help of the priest’s power, some heavenly help (and the magic of editing) the wedding bed is introduced into the chapel and the groom and the priest violate the bride…lots of anal, DP and rough sex, including several double vag/double anal positions. To finish they cum in a tarnished silver champagne wedding flute and I toast the occasion before drinking it. I love being a filthy whore in front of the camera and it is so easy with two great performers like Steve and Marco, I just couldn’t get enough!



Performing and directing a scene is always difficult, I want to immerse myself in the scene, yet a piece of my mind has to remain in the director’s chair, making sure I get all the footage needed. I really have to communicate to my crew – especially my director of photography, my AD and my cameramen - about what I want and need and they are wonderful at working with me to make sure we get everything necessary.

All too soon it was time for me to step out of performer mode, pick up the reins of the shoot and put my director hat back on. Next up was the voodoo scene, a b/g/g anal; 'I Put a Spell on You'. Chayse Evans and Charlotte Vale were my VooDoo Priestesses and I captured some beautiful, creepy footage of them performing rituals together – dancing and swaying hypnotically in front of a fire, mixing various potions and powders and working with a blue eyed voodoo doll of Derrick Pierce who is under their spell to do their bidding and fuck them properly (including rough sex and lots of anal), after which they sacrifice him, tear out his heart and besmear themselves with his blood.

True romance, isn’t it?

Currently I haven’t scheduled dates for the rest of the movie; there should be 2 or 3 more days of production. The writers are doing some rewrites on the main story and when that is finalized I will be holding some casting calls to have performers come in and read for the movie since there is a good bit of acting involved. The remainder of the movie is the dialogue and the remaining sex scenes that are the meat of the movie. I will write more details as the movie progresses.
