05/09/2008: "Kylie, Derrick & Eva test new radio show for Playboy/Sirius"

For the last 2 plus years I have been doing a radio show on Friday nights for Playboy Radio on Sirius Satellite. It’s called Private Calls, basically it’s me setting up a topic, relating a story of my own on said topic and then taking calls from listeners about it. It’s tougher than you think, doing radio in a room, alone. No one laughs at your jokes. Well, not that you can hear anyway.

I love radio, it’s what I have always wanted to do; I went to college for it. Strange the way life brings you back around full circle isn’t it? While I enjoy being on the radio and I like talking to the fans/listeners I have decided it’s time for something a bit different…something to shake things up a bit. So I pitched a new radio show idea at Playboy…and they gave me the go ahead to do a test show…
And we did the first show tonight.

The Friday Night Threeway. Think of it like a couple seeking out a girl for a threeway to keep the relationship interesting and to spice things up. It’s me, porn stud Derrick Pierce and then every Friday a different girl comes on the show…not just as a guest, but as a co-host. Gives us something new to look at and talk to, it’s like an extended interview and adds a different perspective and opinion every week keeping it fresh. It’s a threeway! Derrick and I get to know the “threeway girl” a bit then delve into a topic…

What spawned this idea? Really it was sitting talking with Derrick one day. I have actually known him for years but it wasn’t until some good in-depth pillow talk that I realized that he is a much more together individual than I ever gave him credit for. Derrick is an interesting guy; yes, he tries to play off this I-am-a- tough-guy persona but underneath he is just a teddy bear. He is educated and well spoken, respectful of women (he was raised in a predominantly female household) and has a good sense of humor. He can laugh at himself and dish it out just as well. He is not afraid to say it the way it is but still has the ability to be politically correct. Derrick is active with sports and motorcycles and in the pre-porn years was a personal trainer & taught karate; he’s very much a guy’s guy but at the same time is good-looking and a total charmer; a true ladies’ man. He has been doing porn for over 2 years now and has been in hundred of movies and loves to tell the stories…

Me? Well, you know me. I have been around the block a few times: I have sex on camera and love to dish on all the various stories and experience that comes with being in the adult industry for 14 years in a variety of areas. I survived a 10 year marriage followed by a 3 year divorce and am currently in an open relationship. I have nothing to hide and my life and experiences are an open book. I am opinionated and will defend or debate my stance on any subject. Derrick and I play well together. We have worked together on camera. And now we are going to be arguing like a little old married couple on the radio.

So tonight we did the first show. I was nervous. I spent the afternoon totally over-producing the show. Really, we used only a portion of the material I brought to the table. Our first “threeway girl” was Eva Angelina. When Derrick and I talked about this we knew we needed someone perfect for the first show. We agreed Eva was who we wanted, and we scored. Eva was indeed perfect. She is hot as fuck and popular as ever. She has tons of movies coming out and is winning every award the industry has right now. She is the perfect combination of outspoken, feisty, opinionated and crazy. Derrick, Eva and I all worked on the multiple award-winning movie Upload last summer so we knew each other well.

I have to say that I thought the show was a success. Sure, it was a first-time show and was a little ADD and scatterbrained. A bit unhinged even. But that’s expected with a brand new show. Maybe we strayed off topic but it was hysterical where we went. All in all I was extremely pleased with the way it went. Eva was brilliant, Derrick was entertaining and everything I thought he would be in a co-host.
Derrick and I started off by talking about the week, what we were up to, what’s up with this show…then Eva joined us and it got crazier, she played our dorky game of Question in a Hat, regaled us with her threeway stories and jumped right in to help me pick on Derrick (it’s so easy). Derrick in turn held his own with the two of us, shared his stories from the set and from his bedroom, argued intelligently, Defended Mankind successfully and then at the end of the show when we opened up the phone lines to the listeners…Derrick received the lion share of the calls and questions…including a chick who was a fan of his and totally made him blush!

All in all it was harder than I expected…being the ringleader of that show. But considering it was merely a wee glimmer of an idea in my head less than a week ago…I am pretty pleased with the outcome. It was witty, fast paced, informative and funny. It was sexy and naughty and entertaining.
So there it was, the first edition of The Friday Night Threeway. Hopefully not the last. If Playboy liked it, we might get to make it a regular show…cross your fingers, perhaps we will be on again next Friday. If you listened in please send me an email and tell me what you thought.
