01/01/2007: "Another year gone..."

2006, a time for reflection and memories…

God that sounds like a Hallmark card. Let me try that again, how about this, “2006, a time for smut and perversion”. That’s better. After all this is the year that I brought you such classic movies like Twisted as Fuck and Corruption.

After leaving Platinum X in January of 2006 I continued to have releases from PX (On Your Knees Bitch 2) and, when Jewel De’Nyle (former owner of PX) moved companies, 5th Element (Taste Her O-Ring). Hell, Platinum X still has 2 movies I directed slated for a 2007 release, Open for Anal 3 and Ass Wreckage 4. 5th Element is due to release Sexfest, which is a comp of some of my favorite scenes I starred in the last couple years. The next stop was DVSX, and although in the end we split citing creative differences, I directed some good hardcore smut for them. Among the favorites were Twisted as Fuck, nASSty dREAMS 1 & 2 and Squirts So Good.

Post DVSX I moved on to Bad Seed, a newer gonzo company that is a quiet offshoot of a big porn mogul. I shot 5 movies for them in as many months that should see 2007 releases. Look for the all-girl fuckfest Bitch & Moan (the original version was so nasty it got rejected by the company!), Take it All (big dick movie), Hot Squirts 4 (duh, squirting movie), Double Shocker 3 (all DP’s baby!) and Toy Boxes 2 (hot chicks masturbating for you). I addition to directing I do perform in Bitch & Moan and Take it All.

In the middle of summer, in the midst of this madhouse of porn was Corruption. The biggest, most expensive movie I have worked on in my entire career in porn. Directed by my sweetie, Eli Cross, this production for SexZ Pictures was a huge undertaking that we like to joke ‘ate several months of our lives’. Which is true still since he is still working on several versions of the movie, including a Director’s Cut and an R-Rated version. I was there the entire movie, every step of the way, from preproduction to becoming an editing widow. I was a producer, set photographer, behind-the-scenes camera, set design, involved in wardrobe and of course, talent. I did three scenes in the movie as the ruthless Carolyn, including a double pussy/double anal, a fisting and double fisting and the girl/girl scene with Hillary when I slapped her silly, fucked her senseless and handed her over to my goons. Corruption was honored to receive 17 AVN Nominations this year.

Back in February I surprised my KSEX Radio listeners at the end of a show by announcing that I was leaving KSEX for a weekly two-hour show on Sirius Satellite for Playboy Radio called Private Calls. Every Friday, from 7-9 pm Pacific Time, I tell naughty stories and take your calls. Love it there, Playboy is a great company to work for and I hope to be allowed to stick around. However Eli and I did find ourselves missing the weekly crazy, anything goes Kylie Live shows so in the New Year we will begin podcasting. Free. I’ll keep you posted on where to find those little gems of snarkiness.

This year did see a bit a of travel, including the yearly trip to Vegas for the AEE convention and AVN Awards, a trip to Sturgis with Ginger Lynn for the big bike rally, a brief trip home to Colorado to visit mom and an all-too-short but very wonderful holiday in Jamaica.

From now on, my heart and my wallet are closed. I tend to be a very generous person, if I have friends that need money and I have some to spare, I will often lend it. But this year my kindness has been taken advantage of too many times. It started off last year with a girl named Crickett, I won’t go into details but at least on that friendship I was only out about $600 plus a few dinners and incidentals I picked up. I extended my home, my friendship, my kindness and my generosity to this little mooch of a human and got shit on in return. Then a short time later a person I have known for many years moved to LA to work for me, things weren’t quite working out and when hard times fell on him I lent a hand, paying him upfront for projects that were to be completed and loaning him money. In early December he up and bolted back to his hometown in a flurry of tears and frustration. I was supportive the whole time, helped when I could, lent an ear and even picked up the tab for a vet trip for his sweet sick kitty. Essentially I have heard near nothing since he left. I can only assume I have, yet again, been taken advantage of. This time to the tune of nearly $2000. Worse than the lost money is that I am now learning that the friendship apparently isn’t what I thought it was and I am hurt and extremely disgusted with myself for allowing someone to get close to me and take advantage of me. Sigh. It is a lesson learned the hard way, I suppose. And people wonder why I don’t have a ton of good close friends.

On a brighter note, we have adopted another sweet kitty. The end of 2005 brought us a sweet kitten (who ultimately turned into Satan in a kitty suit) named Willow. In about April of this year Eli and I went for a walk around the neighborhood (can you call downtown LA a neighborhood?) and found a small kitty on the 7th Street bridge. We ended up rescuing her – she was precariously perched on a ledge on the outside of the bridge, if she had fallen it would have been into the LA River – and took her home with the intention of finding her a home. My friend mentioned in the above paragraph offered to adopt her and she – Molly – lived with him until December when he left. Due to the situation with his other sick kitty we ended up adopting her when he left. She is a loveable Maine-Coon mix who is now about a year old and is still tiny and sweet. She terrorizes Willow daily which is exactly what the little demon princess needs.

On October 5th I practically skipped to the concert at the Hollywood Bowl with my tickets in hand. An unbelievable birthday present from Eli, it was two tickets to Roger Waters live at the Hollywood Bowl. If you know me at all I am a long time Pink Floyd fanatic and was too young to get to see them as the original Pink Floyd. At every opportunity I can I try to see them in pieces, either Gilmour’s Pink Floyd or Roger (unfortunately Live 8 was WAY too expensive). I saw Roger back in 2000 and felt that was the closest to seeing The Wall as I could get without a time machine, and this round he did Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. Fucking amazing. In addition to Dark Side they performed 1 or 2 songs from many of the other albums and the second half of the show (after releasing an inflatable pig into the LA sky with “fuck Bush” spray painted on its ass) original drummer Nick Mason took the stage as well. This was especially cool for me because at the time I was in the middle of reading his book Inside Out. This was also my first concert at the Hollywood Bowl and it couldn’t have been a better concert or a more beautiful night. Magical.

The end of the year hell season is almost over, thankfully. When the AEE show in January is over I consider the new year to begin. Something about the holidays combined with AEE/AVN always shreds me mentally. Well, that and the fact that somehow we are always broke. Not because of Christmas, before Christmas. Work in the biz comes to a screeching halt for at least 2 months and this year I thought it would be different since I had a regular directing gig. Then poof! Regular gig gone. Technically it is on "hold" and come February I am supposed to start production again but really I am not holding my breath on that one. The tight $$ situations paired with the (oft) forced holiday shopping combined with the need to prep for the big Vegas show, the end of the year doom and gloom of yet another year gone, the stress of another sober New Years (but hah! I don’t have a fucking hangover on the 1st!) just drags a chick down. Ack. But I’ll live, always do.

So come the 15th or so of January my New Year begins and this year looks to be the busiest ever. No, really. SlutWerkz is up and running and production begins upon our return from the show. This is no small task since I am setting up a real company and that requires a hell of a lot more than opening a bank account and shooting some stuff. I am excited about the challenge though and am really jazzed about the entire concept. In addition to that Eli and I will be working on some stuff for SexZ, including the next big movie – and no it’s not Corruption 2, that’s slated for 2008 – you will just have to wait and see. I will be performing, more than likely mostly in a few of my own projects when I have the time. Let’s face it, I just have some perverted shit I still want to experience! There is also www.kylieireland.com to keep rockin’ and I might do a few extra performing gigs depending on time and what they are but 2007 is the Year of the Slut(werkz).
