07/17/2006: "Adult Novelty Convention"

Today I spent a couple hours hangin' out with Jacklyn Lick at the AVN Adult Novelty Convention. We were really supposed to be signing autographs but really it wasn't too crazy so we got a chance to hang out and catch up since it has been like 9 months since we last got together for sushi and a massage.

The Adult Novelty Expo is held every year at the Sheraton in Universal City - you know, up by Universal Studios and CityWalk - it's not a fan thing it is mosty just for retailers, stores and ditributors. It's great to be able to chat with people in those areas of the biz too.



Jacklyn and I have been friends since back in (I think) 1996 when we got thrown together for this bigevent in Houston. It was kind of a fiasco and we ended up taking control and trying to organize the whole week long event - that's a story on it's own really. Since then we have hung out from time to time, usually for sushi. Since we were both contract girls for Las Vegas Novelties (remember Serenity's adult toy company?) we often were at appearances and conventions together, including 2 years ago at the big Erotica Convention in New Zealand:

Sorry, small diversion, back to today's story already in progress...When Serenity sold out her company to Pipedream Products the contract girls had the option of signing on with Pipedream. Anyway it was good to see her and I look forward to tomorrow being quiet again so we can chat more.
